There is going to be a common theme in all of my posts this summer. THE LAKE. Fun times this weekend in Hickory. We hung out with some of our favorite people. Drove to Hickory EARLY Saturday morning. Bo left for the race and we hung with Kristin for the day. LeyBo loves his Kristin. Dad's brother and fam came over to visit for a few minutes since they were in town for a wedding. Always love seeing them. Can't wait to see them again in two weeks for Amanda's wedding! The three of us went to Cracker Barrell for lunch. Leyton wasn't a fan, he wanted to eat too. I always end up in a bathroom stall nursing when we go out to eat. A little girl came in the bathroom singing at the top of her lungs and tore Ley to pieces while he was eating. How dare her interupt a peaceful meal?? (Leyton never does that) After lunch we went to Hobby Lobby, which is now my favorite store! I bought a few picture frames, stuff to make a PRECIOUS hairbow, and a growth chart thing for my boy. Leyton had an explosion while we were in there...I think he was just tired of shopping and figured that would get us out of there quickly. It worked. We headed back home to be lazy. Casey and Jason came so we made dinner and played scrabble all night.
The sun came out on Sunday and it was GORGEOUS all day. We hung out around the pool for the first part of the day and took lots and lots of pictures of the cutest baby in the world. Casey took Ley in the pool for a quick minute. REAL quick minute. A little too cold for much more than his feet. So, Bo went and bought a baby bath for him to play in beside the pool. He liked that much better.
No diaper makes for a loose bathing suit. He sported the butt crack all day :) Cutie.
The rest of the afternoon was spent on the boat. LeyBo got his first ticket.
Not wearing a life jacket. What a rebel. Doesn't this look like a guilty face??
Apparently you have to keep a life jacket on any kid under 13 the whole time they are on the boat. To that I say...you must be crazy. Let's just say the "infant" life jackets aren't so infant. Poor kid is swallowed whole in it. So we paid for it. Got a nice pink ticket worth $160. I guess having the life jacket beside Leyton the whole ride isn't good enough.
Besides the fact that we almost died tubing and racked up a sweet ticket...Life sure was good at the lake :)
This is what water, sun, boat rides, laughs, and tickets make you do...
Sleep all day.
aww ashley so sweet!
